In the revival, we find out that Al stole some technology and Al’s daughter was secretly working with Ben Song. He had either died somewhere as he leaped or he was stuck leaping through time. We find out that Sam never returned home. You see, a title card pops up at the end of the cliffhanger ending. The second episode of the new series found Ben (Raymond Lee) jumping into a space shuttle astronaut headed into orbit. In the revival, we learn that Al’s happily ever after was tarnished because of things that happened at the very end of the series.
